Nollaig Casey Nollaig Casey has an international reputation as one of Ireland's finest fiddle players. She possesses not only a prodigious technique but the rare ability to play both classical and traditional music with equal skill and an unerring sense of style. When Nollaig began to play the violin at the age of eleven she was already proficient at the piano, tin-whistle and uilleann pipes.

She continued to study both classical and traditional music and graduated with a degree in music from University College Cork when only nineteen. She then worked with the RTE Symphony Orchestra before joining the band Planxty. 'Lead the Knave', her first album, won many awards worldwide, while her second album 'Causeway', which was released in 1995,

features Nollaig on the fiddle and, for the first time, singing. With many television appearances and feature film soundtracks to her credit, Nollaig is constantly in demand to record and tour with a surprising diversity of artists.
